Events & Meetings
10 key takeaways from the global cybersecurity event RSAC 2023, must-watch key trends!

The world's most watched cybersecurity conference, RSA Conference, concluded successfully on April 27 in San Francisco, USA. This year's theme was "Stronger Together". Since the outbreak of the epidemic, the RSA 2023 conference was the second in-person meeting of the event, and the scale of the meeting was significantly larger than last year, including a total of 652 speakers, more than 400 special sessions, and over 500 booths, bringing together security professionals from around the world to discuss the latest security trends, solutions, and best practices.

RSAC 2023 Top 10 Highlights
In the summary of the RSA Conference, we focused on two major trends, which are Intelligence & Threat Modelling and Constant Threats.
▍Intelligence & Threat Modelling

This year, we conducted a deeper and broader analysis of the attack surface. There seems to be a renewed focus on intelligence gathering and sharing, as well as scams. Active threat hunting is increasing, and when considering the threat landscape, a clear shift from pure defense to active offense was observed. When faced with this threat modeling, different methods, philosophies, and alignment with risk indicators emerged, all exploring the impact on teams, the way information is shared, as well as reporting structures and methods, which are no longer just about tools. Driven by machine learning, graph-modeled threat hunting is widely known. We seem to be more "adapted" to the fact that breaches are constant, and we observed some shift in focus towards response, containment, and deep analysis.
Regarding this trend, Security Validation believes that using different methods or dimensions and metrics to correlate and analyze threats in security operations is becoming increasingly important. Only in this way can enterprises discover attacks that cannot be directly judged as threats by single-point security defense means, especially those advanced persistent threat attacks (APT) that lurk long-term through behaviors similar to normal users. Security Validation helps you optimize or create these correlation analyses with such APT attack scenario simulations, ultimately helping you improve your detection, response, and disposal capabilities.
▍Constant Threats

It is precisely because of the importance attached to threats that the RSA Conference exists. Ransomware losses continue to climb, with some attacks evolving from encryption to extortion. Browser-based attacks are emerging. Concentrated attacks on containers have led to a different perspective. Passwordless is widely popular, but with it comes new dangers. The ubiquity of multi-cloud and related vulnerabilities seems to be triggering unique attacks. Phishing won't go away either. Bots are proliferating, and people are being affected by them. Web3 and the Metaverse open up a whole new dimension of possibilities.
Whether it is the continuous increase of original threats or the continuous emergence of new threats, in short, threats always exist and are increasing day by day. Security Validation, with its weekly updated attack library, helps our users utilize new attack methods and scenarios to continuously verify the effectiveness of the overall security defense system across multiple security dimensions, helping you improve defense shortcomings or pointing out the lack of defense means. It helps you maintain an excellent level of defense 24/7/365 to cope with continuous threats.
